Delete Your Account
Last updated: 9 October 2026
Dayzi is operated by Solika Ventures Pvt Ltd. This page explains how to delete your Dayzi account and the personal data associated with it.
Option 1 — Delete from within the app (recommended)
- Open the Dayzi app and sign in.
- Go to Profile → Settings → Privacy.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm when prompted.
Your account is immediately marked for deletion and enters a 30-day grace period.
Note: if you are currently hosting an event that has not finished, you will be asked to cancel or complete it first.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you cannot access the app, email developer@dayzi.live from the address registered to your account, with the subject line "Delete My Account". We will verify your identity and process the request.
What happens after you request deletion
- Your account is marked for deletion and enters a 30-day grace period.
- You can restore your account during those 30 days simply by logging back in. After 30 days, deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed.
- After the grace period, your account and associated personal data are permanently deleted or anonymised, except for the categories listed below.
What is deleted
- Your profile data — name, username, age, gender, bio, vibes, prompts, profession and social links
- Your profile photo
- Events you created
- Your messages in event group chats
- Your notifications
- Your event group memberships and attendee entries
- Your push-notification (FCM) tokens
- Your SOS safety cases, including any location recorded in them
- Your cached data
What is retained, and why
Please read this before you delete. Some records survive account deletion because removing them would undermine safety, the rights of other users, or obligations we owe by law.
- Safety and moderation records. Reports you filed, reports filed about you, and their aggregates. These may contain your name. They are kept so that a pattern of harmful behaviour cannot be erased by deleting an account and making a new one.
- Appeals. Ban appeals and event appeals, which may contain your name and email address.
- Bug reports. Retained until resolved, and may contain your email address, device details and a screenshot you submitted.
- Voting records from events you attended.
- Content other people also hold. Group messages and event participation records may remain visible where necessary for event history, safety, or integrity, and will no longer identify you where reasonably possible.
- Anything required by law, or needed for security, fraud prevention, or the establishment or defence of legal claims.
- Aggregated, anonymised analytics that no longer identify you.
If you want a specific retained item removed, email us and we will assess the request against the exemptions above.
Backups. Deleted data may remain in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before automatic deletion, and will not be restored except for disaster recovery or legal and security purposes.
Want a copy of your data first?
Before deleting, export your personal data in JSON from Privacy Settings → Download My Data in the app. If you also want your group chat messages, reports, blocks, bug reports or appeals, email us and we will provide them separately.
